Zzzzzzzzzzzzzz...It's fun to dream..

Happy Friday!

I love, love, love today's blanks.
Lauren is always the most creative and inspirational.
Link up and play a long @ The Little Things We Do
1.  The last thing I do before going to sleep is      read.  Right now it's a combination of Andrew Murray's  Waiting on God (self explanatory) and Jillian Michaels'  Master Your Metabolism (it's all about hormones. Mine are out of whack)   .

2.  When I can't sleep I    read some more or try to pray until I finally konk out.

3.  The first thing I do when I wake up is   give my alarm a dirty look, greet my cats and shower .

4.  When I'm tired I   get lethargic and stoic. Neither of these is my natural character so when I start zoning out and staring like a mental patient, I need some Z's. I also get twitchy and shake randomly-also very awkward .

WARNING: Rabbit trail ahead!!  Lauren opened up a giant can of decoratively inspirational worms on this question...

5.  My dream bedroom would be     light and airy probably decorated entirely with Anthropolgie and vintage decor. Accents with light yellow, kelly green, turquoise and some grey in there too.. I've always wanted my bed to be in the middle/center of the room not by a wall. There will be Fresh flowers everywhere. An adjoining bathroom that makes you feel clean just by walking in. A reading corner filled with my favorite pieces of Klimt and Mucha Also, with an acess door to a garden filled with trellises crawling with Roses. It would all be lit entirely by candle light, firelight (from my fireplace, duh) and natural lighting.  Try to melange all of these wonderfulls together:

Annnnnnnd I'm back..

6.  If I could wake up anywhere tomorrow morning it would be   in one of those bungalows over the ocean like they have in Tahiti. John needs to be beside me, of course.
7.  The longest sleep I've ever had was   when I returned from Europe. I think I slept for a straight 20 hours. That's nuts. I don't require a lot of sleep usually   .

8.  I sleep on my     stomach/side (the left) one arm extended over the head under the pillow. Every morning I wake up in a different position .

9.  When I sleep, I like to wear     underwear and a tanktop. I've always wanted to wear  fun jammie ensembles but John and I are both furnaces and I'd rather sleep in an unsweaty fashion than look "put-together". I think John is partial to my choice of no jammie ensemble too, IF YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN  .

10.  My bedtime is usually      between 10-12 .

Have a great weekend!

A stormy day

True, true.
Order it here

********************************

Then they cried out to the LORD in their trouble,

and he brought them out of their distress.

  He stilled the storm to a whisper;

the waves of the sea were hushed.

They were glad when it grew calm,

and he guided them to their desired haven.

Let them give thanks to the LORD for his unfailing love

and his wonderful deeds for men.

Psalm 127:28-31

“The quality of mercy is not strained; It droppeth as the gentle rain from heaven Upon the place beneath. It is twice blessed- It blesseth him that gives, and him that takes.”
-Shakespear

Happy rainy, then sunny, then stormy, then sunny again, oh wait! here comes the rain again day!

Giant Fall Picture Post

It's that time of year. The time when I get a bit restless in the 100 degree heat and constant sunshine (whaaaaat? wasn't I begging Jesus just yesterday for longer sunny days and sweltering heat, Tropical Snow and beach season?? Can't a girl just be satisfied for once?).
J'adore summer. But I long for autumn. Every year. I guess knowing that pumpkin picking and orchard visiting, leaves turning and jazzy fall meals are soon ahead makes me all the more eager to get there. Summer is definitely essential to fall. I wouldn't have it any other way. I wouldn't appreciate it half as much. Just like Winter is essential to Spring. Summer and Winter are just transitional seasons, the way I see it.  But I do long for fall clothes, layers and boots. 'Punkins' and baking. Hot Chai on a rainy day. Driving under a canopy of colorful maple leaves. Burning the spicey patchouli candle. Celebrating my anniversary And upping my intake of Madeleine Peyroux and Blossom Dearie.
Until then, this will tide me over.
I intend to ride my bike in this sweltering heat and appreciate the humidity and sunshine, mosquito bites and sun freckles as long as possible. I will grill everything eatable as long as possible and cherish every minute of daylight because soon I will be posting about how depressed I am that it is dark and rainy.
I Love that my anniversary is smack dab in the middle of  fall.
It's pretty representative of who we are. Things are always changing. But together, we get through it.
 It's a beautifully colorful process.

fall clothes, layers, boots, coats, hats and scarves. Yes, please!

Random Blankies

1.  A very nostalgic place that reminds me of being a kid is      Florida. We went there almost every year and when I was a teen I went sometimes twice to visit my cousin Sarah   .

2.  If someone really wants to show me how much they love me      they should talk with me, not just to me. I am fining that words of affirmation and quality time are very much a close runner up for #1 on the Love Language list ORRRR they could buy me a present :) .

3.  Lately I've been wondering a lot about      what my children will be like. I hope if we have a girl she looks like  the human version of Boo from Monsters Inc. and Agnes from Despicable Me (why do those movie kids turn out so cute?)   .

4.  When it comes to saving money I am       all or nothing. I need to find a happy medium. I either penny pinch and go Ramsey crazy or I just say "forget it" and buy everything I want. That's not the best method, just in case you were wondering .

5.  I'd prefer     vacation    over    work    any day!

6.  I wish I knew how to make   my own wardrobe without it looking like I am a 80's homeschooler. I have really great ideas but the excution of it all would really suck, I am sure. Headbands, purses and skirts are as far as I go. take me shopping instead. It's bound to end a lot more stylishly    .

7.  I'm just waiting for   God    .

Peace and Love

I've been burning an insane ammount of Nag Champa lately and am wearing Patchouli regularly. I have been listening to a lot of 60's inspired music too.
I can hardly wait to have my hair reach to my butt. (maybe in 5-6 years)
I will always shower regularly and you will not see me in public the nude...atleast I don't think you will..extreme liberalism and protests scare me.

ps- the blog  from which I got this photo (It Sounds Like Rain) is one of my new favorites!! Check it out!

This song makes me want to dance around in circles in a field full of daisies..
