I always chuckle when I see that saying. When I was about 9, I was trying my hardest to be the baddest brat you ever saw. I refused to smile, I always yelled and I was just trouble all around. In a classroom setting, the teacher asked the question about friendship. "How do you make friends?"

The teacher stood and stared at me... then started to smile real big and told me it was the nicest thing she has ever heard.
My baddest bratty self felt like a huge failure. I was nice, not bratty! The shock!
